Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information OUT2FI collects when you use out2fi.com, why, and what choices you have. We built OUT2FI to work without requiring an account, and we try to collect only what's genuinely needed to run a live radio site.
1. Information we collect
Depending on which features you use, we may collect:
- Live chat messages: the name you choose to enter (optional) and the message you send, stored so the message can be shown in the chat feed and possibly read by the AI DJ.
- Song requests: the artist/song text you submit.
- Contact form: your name, email address, subject, and message when you write to us through /contacto.
- Listener presence: a random, anonymous session ID (kept only in your browser's sessionStorage, never tied to your name or email) that pings our server roughly every 25 seconds while a tab is open, purely so the "Oyentes en vivo" counter reflects real activity. It's discarded automatically ~90 seconds after you close the tab.
- Basic technical logs: a hashed version of your IP address, used only to apply spam/abuse rate-limits on the chat, requests, and contact form — never stored as your raw, readable IP.
- Local preferences: things like your volume level, chosen language, theme (light/dark), and whether you've marked the station as a favorite are saved only in your own browser (localStorage), never sent to our servers.
2. How we use this information
To operate the live chat, song requests, and contact form; to let the AI DJ occasionally read a chat greeting or request on air; to keep a genuine live listener count instead of a fake one; and to prevent spam/abuse of these public features. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising profiling.
3. Cookies and local storage
We use a small, non-tracking cookie to remember your language choice (ES/EN), and your browser's localStorage/sessionStorage for things like theme, volume, favorite status, and the anonymous listener session ID described above. None of this is used to build an advertising profile or shared with ad networks.
4. Third-party services
OUT2FI relies on a few outside services to work:
- SoundCloud — plays the actual mixes, through their own embedded player, under their own privacy practices.
- Spotify (public oEmbed) — used only to fetch a song's public cover art when a Spotify link is configured for a "Tendencias" entry; no account or login involved.
- WhatsApp — the "share" button opens WhatsApp's own share flow; we don't see who you share with.
5. Data retention
Chat messages, song requests, and contact-form messages are kept so our team can review and moderate them; we may delete older entries periodically. Listener session IDs are discarded automatically within about 90 seconds of you closing the tab and are never permanently stored.
6. Your rights
Under Peru's Personal Data Protection Law (Ley N.° 29733) you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data you've submitted to us (for example, a message you sent through the contact form), or object to how it's used. Write to info@out2fi.com and we'll handle your request.
7. Children
OUT2FI isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone we know to be under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we'll remove it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
9. Contact
Questions about your data? Write to info@out2fi.com, or use the Contact page. OUT2FI — Lima, Perú.
This document is a general-purpose base template, written to plainly and accurately describe what OUT2FI actually collects and why. It isn't a substitute for advice from a Peruvian lawyer on full compliance with Ley N.° 29733 — if you plan to expand data collection (accounts, payments, marketing lists), we recommend a professional review first.
